David Verbuč

On this episode, Jessica Schwartz talks with David Verbuč (PhD in ethnomusicology at the University of Califor­nia, Davis, 2014). Since 2014 he has worked as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Humanities, Charles University in Prague, where he teaches sociocul­tural anthropology, ethnomusicology, and popular music courses. He is an author of the book DIY House Shows and Music Venues in the US: Ethnographic Explorations of Place and Community (Routledge, 2021), and the Editor-in-Chief of the English edition of the international anthropological journal Lidé města / Urban People.
